Disney Channel makes its first foray into completely computer-generatedanimation with its new original series for preschoolers, Rolie Polie Olie,debuting October 4.  This weekly series is created by renowned children's book author and illustrator William Joyce. Each half-hour episode consists of three seven-minute "Olie" adventures. Rolie Polie Olie marks the first time in U.S. television history that 3-D technology has been used to create an animated series specifically for preschoolers.

Rolie Polie Olie follows the touching, tumultuous and sometimes hilarious world of Olie, a simple robotic everyboy who lives in a magical mechanical world where everyone and everything is round and robotic. Even common household items on this happy planet spring to life, eager to help the "people robots" they serve.

World-renowned actress Debbie Reynolds dons a witch's hat in Disney Channel's new original movie, Halloweentown. This comedy-adventure follows Marnie and her younger siblings as they return with their estranged grandmother, a good witch (Debbie Reynolds), to her home in Halloweentown, where witches, goblins, vampires and the like lead very normal lives. On her 13th birthday, Marnie learns that she comes from a witch family and that she too is a witch. She also discovers that an evil force is plotting to take over Halloweentown, and she must help her mother and grandmother to save the day.

Disney Channel's new original series,The Famous Jett Jackson, is a coming of age, character-driven adventure series about Jett Jackson, a 13-year-old television star, who longs to have a normal life. Jett moves his show from Hollywood to rural North Carolina so he can live with his father, who is the local sheriff, and his great-grandmother. However, the simple life is out of reach for Jett, whose friends and fans expect him to live up to the image of Silverstone, M.S.P.I. (Middle School Private Investigator), the heroic detective he plays on television.

Disney Channel celebrates Halloween by treating viewers to Halloween-themed specials and movies throughout the month. On Halloween eve, Friday, October 30, three Halloween movies will be featured, including Disney's popular Hocus Pocus, 7PM ET/PT and two Disney Channel original movies, Under Wraps, 8:45PM ET/PT and Halloweentown, 10:20PM ET/PT. On Saturday, October 31, Halloween episodes from four Disney Channel series will air beginning at 7PM ET/PT followed by an encore of the Channel's new original movie Halloweentown starring Debbie Reynolds. Disney Channel's Movie Surfers, a group of kids who meet via computer to surf for the inside scoop on movies, return for an adventurous sneak peek into Walt Disney Pictures theatrical release of the Pixar Animation film, A Bug's Life, opening in theaters November 25. Tina, the web site monitor, prompts the surfers to click into several areas and investigate facts and tidbits about Disney's new computer animated movie.

Created by the same team that produced Toy Story, A Bug's Life tells the story of an ant colony with one misfit member, "Flik," who wants to save his colony from a greedy gang of grasshoppers. His heroism seems headed for disaster when the troop of bugs he enlists turn out to be a motley bunch of performers from a flea circus. The kids' web travels include a chatbox meeting with composer Randy Newman, a visit to the Pixar Studio and interviews with the movie's voice talent including David Foley and Kevin Spacey and director John Lasseter. In a Movie Surfer first, Tina gets to do a voice-over in the actual movie, playing the voice of a Blueberry, the girl scouts of the bug world.

When Charles Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol, it is doubtful that he thought of his main characters as a frog, a pig, and a rat. Kermit The Frog plays Scrooge's kind and humble assistant Bob Cratchit, and Miss Piggy is Cratchit's devoted wife Emily. The Great Gonzo portrays Charles Dickens and narrates the story with the help of his sidekick, Rizzo the Rat.

The young dinosaurs, Littlefoot, Cera, Petrie, Ducky and Spike, live in the Great Valley where all species of dinosaurs coexist in peace and cooperation. The Valley becomes unliveable, however, when a swarm of locusts strips the vegetation and the dinosaurs are forced to find a new home. As they travel through barren lands, the hungry dinosaurs begin to quarrel. The five young friends sneak away to look for food, they discover an island off the coast where Chomper, the baby Tyrannosaurus they once nursed, is living with his parents. Another dinosaur sees the Great Valley herds looking for the youngsters and takes them back to their families who have found a place with enough food to last them until the Great Valley is regrown.
